Cycle for Good raises money so that 47 Burmese refugee children can go to school, have food to eat and a place to sleep. The children fled the civil war in Myanmar without their parents and are now living in Mae La Oon refugee camp in Thailand.

Earthquake in Myanmar: The children Cycle for Good supports are luckily not harmed by this. 

What happened in Myanmar on the 29th March 2025 is mind blowing. 
A country where so many are already suffering for so long under constant thread of the military’s regime and the attacks of the army, now on top have to deal with the effects of the earthquake causing so many casualties. The lack of healthcare, water and food was already a big problem, now it can mean that the ones surviving the earthquake, are still very much at risk. And on top of that the military continue to bomb places, the war continues..

The earthquake did not harm the children we support via Cycle for Good luckily. They have felt it and the many aftershocks too. Their homes in the refugee camp are not made of stone, but made mainly of natural material, and are not build with many floors above each other. The houses did not collapse. 

Our heart goes out to all the people that are harmed by the earthquake and we hope help reaches them soon (and not only the ones that the junta chooses…)
